  1. Where do I find my Builder Number?

 

The approval letter that came with your registration package contains your builder number. If that letter is not accessible, please call us at 800-749-0381, x4952

  1. How do I calculate my warranty enrollment fee?

 

The warranty fee is based on the closing contract price of the home. For example: A home with a closing contract price of $100,000, multiplied by a rate of $2.00 per thousand would produce an enrollment fee of $200.00 (100,000/1,000X$2.00).  If applicable, please remember to add the $10.00 fee for any FHA, VA or Rural Development application.

  1. How do I know the terms of the warranty that I am purchasing?

 

It is in the letter you received with your membership package.  You may also refer to the sample warranty.

  1. What date should be entered as the closing date?

 

The date of transfer of title is considered to be the closing date.

  1. I have an emergency! I have a closing and no enrollment form...what do I do?

  1. How do my homeowners receive their warranty documents?

 

Once the properly completed warranty coverage application and warranty enrollment fee have been received by Bonded Builders, the warranty documents will be issued to your homeowner.

  1. Is the warranty transferable?

 

Yes, the warranty is on the house and it transfers automatically upon a change of ownership during the warranty period. For their own peace-of-mind, homeowners, other than the original owner, should notify Bonded Builders in writing that they are the new owners at the covered address. However, failure to do so will not affect coverage for the property. A transfer fee of $40.00 applies which covers all new documentation, handling and shipping charges.   1. What do I do if my homeowner's warranty document is misplaced?

 

A lost warranty document, can be replaced for a modest charge of $5, which covers replacement cost, handling and shipping charges. Click the link to download the BBWG Warranty Document Replacement Form. Please allow up to two weeks for processing.

  1. Can I change the type of warranty that I am providing?

 

Yes, it's easy to do. Please contact your Bonded Builders’ Sales and Marketing Director for instructions.

  1. I have a homeowner that I cannot satisfy. Can you help me?

 

Should you reach an impasse with a homeowner, we will try to assist you. In addition, our highly effective,  Conciliation system is available to all builder members. To initiate the process, please fax a request, on your letterhead to our Claims Director at 561-994-1915.

  1. I have new warranty and/or sales personnel. Do you provide training?
